OUR STORY
The Butcher Block and Smokehouse located in Prineville, Oregon began as a small, family-run ranch founded by Remington and Jenna Pike. With a background in agricultural and crop sciences, Remington specializes in the proper and humane raising of animals, providing Central Oregon with our selection of meats from humanely raised and sourced from the Pacific Northwest. Jenna comes from a catering background where her expertise in preparing and cooking a variety of meats has helped customers expand their use in cutting a variety of cuts of meats. As demand grew, so did our operation, and we opened a small butcher shop and smokehouse to provide our customers with the same high-quality meat that we were serving at home.
Our story began over a decade ago, when we decided to start raising our own animals for meat. Over time, we learned that taking care of these animals was a true passion of ours, and we also discovered a need for meat processing services in our community. We wanted to be able to offer these services to fellow ranchers in the area, and so we started The Butcher Block and Smokehouse. We take pride in the care and attention that we provide for each animal that comes through our doors, and we believe that this translates to the best possible meat for our customers.
